Last week we were in the family room when I heard a thud at the glass door. I went to the door to find a young blue jay sitting there looking at me. We watched as the bird slowly hopped across the yard not looking too well. Jamie decided to keep it in a box and help it get better. The bird seemed better in the morning so Jamie stuck it up in the tree and we haven't seen it since so hopefully it's okay. It was sweet seeing Jamie dote over and worry about the little bird. Amidst my own heartlessness I sometimes forget how tender he can be. I guess that's where Emma gets it from.
